The Fault in Our Stars

After rotting at home for the entire week, I finally headed out for some fresh air (and vision) today! Extremely grateful that Spence insisted on taking me out even when he was already feeling unwell during work. I know you know how much heading out today meant to me, and hence you didn't want me to end up staying home. So, thank you (':

We finally caught The Fault in Our Stars. I tend to get very drawn into movies/dramas, and it was no exception this time. But it was a lot harder today, with everything being about Cancer. Everything reminded me of you.

I remember how hard you fought. I remember how you never worry or "hurt" the ones you love. I remember seeing your pain, but I also remember how determined you were to overcome them. I remember how you continued to care and love for others, despite all that you were going through. I remember how you continued to overwhelm me with all those advice, just to make sure I'll be safe in Buffalo. I remember how you struggled to greet your loved ones with a smile, even in the midst of all your discomfort. I remember how you held on to faith. I remember what a champion you were.

And I saw this on my feed tonight. You're amazing; how you continue to give even when you're no longer around, how your legacy continues to make a difference in cancer research, in people. You never need to fear 'oblivion'.

Our Champion

As much as I'm missing you so dearly, nothing comforts me more than knowing you're free from pain and sufferings. I hope you're doing well up in heaven. <3
