December used to be my favourite month of the year. I mean, what's not to love about sharing festive occasions with your loved ones right? Sadly, I've not been able to say the same since 3 years ago. I stopped looking forward to countdowns because it reminds me of Daddy. I dreaded Christmas last year, knowing how painful it was a year before when things didn't work out the way I hope for it to. But you know, life really is full of surprises.
Spence was (and still is) my biggest surprise. Never did I imagine for us to be celebrating Christmas like this, but here we are, spending it overseas together for the second consecutive year. (':
This is also my very first time spending Christmas away from home, and I've to say, it sure feels very different. Watching the videos of my family having their (mini) celebration makes me miss home - the warmth, joy and laughter. Nevertheless, having Ken right here in NYC makes it all a little better. (: Even though it's only reaching the end of day one, every moment has been so wonderful. Spent a crazy long day out today, and soon we'll be heading out for Christmas countdown! I'm thankful, so very thankful for all of these.
2014 was a difficult year. And I don't ask for 2015 to be better (cause it never will be). But I pray for my family to have the strength to keep on going. I pray for my family to be in the best of health. I pray for my family to continue to love and support one another.
Merry Christmas to my dearest friends and family. Have a blessed 2015! ♡
