making the best out of 2016

"A key to happiness is letting each situation be what it is instead of what you think it should be, then making the best of it."

I remember how 2015 ended on a high, how I received what seemed like the best gift of my life.
2016 was full of ups and downs, but I'm determined to end it on a high regardless of all that has happened, to make the best of it
And I'm so glad that I already have so much to look forward to, so much I aim to achieve!

1. Earn my first $1k for Paperfoo
I can't be happier knowing that I've successfully started closing sales for this little dream of mine. I've been so focused on perfecting every little thing I did, which hindered my progress tremendously. But I'm coming back at this full force, and I look forward to accomplishing so much more by the end of this year with all the support that I've been showered with!

2. Achieve a min. of 5 sessions at Willing Hearts
I don't just want to volunteer once and stop there. I should, and want to keep giving even at my inconvenience. Just a reminder to myself that there's never a heart too big! (And I hope to inspire even more people to join me in this!)

3. Do something crazy - SPARTAN RACE @ Bintan
This is the something crazy I mentioned in my previous post! Thought it through for 2 days now, and I've decided that YES I WANT TO DO THIS. Heh, thank you my crazy friend. Looking forward to being your burden!

4. Getaway with Mummy
Honestly, Mummy's been the bestest pillar of support throughout the past few weeks that's been such a struggle. I've lost count of the number of times she's asked to take me overseas to clear my mind. This time, I'm letting it happen not because I want to clear my mind, but simply because nothing beats having quality time spent with the love of MA life.

5. Finalize my first "almost solo" trip for Jan 2017!
Absolutely excited for this! Well, my plan to go completely solo was rejected the moment I proposed it. (Why am I surprised? Hahaha.) But but, this definitely still is something I'll be looking forward to!

6. Get to know at least 5 new people
I got to know a bunch of absolutely amazing people from all walks of life from the last seminar I attended. I love how we hung out over coffee (and milo) right after the event like we were old friends, and how the group chat has been so active for the past one week - sharing about any upcoming seminars and inspiring one another with motivational quotes and experiences on a daily basis! So yes, I want to keep this going. (:

7. Launch my first eBook on Amazon
I attended an e-commerce program that focused on earning a passive income through eBooks on Amazon. Even though I didn't signed up for the course, I've been doing my research and I'm truly amazed at the endless possibilities this aspect of online marketing has. So yes, never try never know right? Right.

8. Pick up Dance
Been wanting to get back to dance since I got back from US and I finally found a course of my interest that's commencing in November! Praying hard that nothing gets in the way and I can finally start dancing again. Hopefully this will help maintain my fitness once the touch rugby league is over. Heh.

9. Get to know and be comfortable in COOS's YA cell
I'm still really new, but I'm thankful for how welcoming the members of the church have been! Pastor has linked me up with one of the YA cell members and I'm really looking forward to getting to know them. (: (Hmmm, is this considered cheating for #6?)

10. Never stop trying something new
Kickstarted this with my sign up with Uber! This was such an impromptu decision but I'm so excited for this whole new (unexpected) experience. Heh. I shall update this portion should I come up with any more ideas.

11. Set (seemingly impossible) goals
I've always built my goals around career and starting a family - never having to slog away in an office (unless I'm doing what I enjoy like events), discovering and pursuing my passion, how I want to get married by 30, have 3 kids, retire before 60. These are things that aren't too difficult to achieve, and I think it's time I push myself - like buying my first car? Heh.

12. Explore the possibilities of being a motivational writer/speaker
I've always wanted to do something related to self-help (explains why I wanted to study Psychology initially) and I want to take all of my life experiences a step forward, to use them to reach out to those who struggle - be it with a past, with death, or with a painful breakup. I believe these things don't just happen to me because it happened, and I hope to use that to serve a purpose.

13. Mature my faith in Christ
Last on the list but definitely not the least. I want to know Him more.

(and the list may go on...)

Come 31 December 2016, I hope I can be proud to say: I DID IT.
(:
